MATLAB Licensed Toolboxes

The basic MATLAB product is augmented with toolboxes and compatible products, which all tend to be lumped together by calling them "toolboxes." License fees vary by the license type (Concurrent or Group), by the toolbox, and by the number of users licensed to use the toolbox.

Toolboxes Available to the Concurrent and Group Licenses

The following suite of toolboxes is common to the Concurrent and Group licenses:

MATLAB environment A desktop front end to access MATLAB features and functions
Simulink An interactive environment for modeling, simulating and analyzing dynamic systems
Control System Design and analyze feedback control systems
Financial Portfolio optimizations, risk analyses, asset allocations, fixed-income pricing, financial time series, etc.
Image Processing Image processing, analysis and algorithm development
MATLAB Compiler Convert many MATLAB applications containing math, graphics and graphical user interfaces to stand-alone code which can be used to run without access to the license manager.
Optimization General and large-scale optimization of nonlinear problems, linear programming, quadratic programming, nonlinear least-squares, solving nonlinear equations
Signal Processing Analog and digital signal processing tools
Statistics Functions and graphical user interfaces for statistical analysis, including linear and nonlinear modeling, multivariate statistics, calculation and fitting of probability distributions, and hypothesis testing.
System Identification Create linear dynamic models from measured input-output data
Wavelet (Signal and Image Processing) Analyze, compress and denoise signals and images
NAG Foundation Toolbox for MATLAB from the Numerical Algorithms Group

Minimization, ODEs, PDEs, Fourier Transforms, Quadrature, Linear Algebra, Nonlinear Equations, Zeros of Polynomials, Statistics, and more

Additional Toolboxes Available Under the Concurrent License

The following suite of toolboxes is also available under the Concurrent license.

Some of these toolboxes are available only on specific operating systems. See System Requirements to generate a full list of available products for your intended operating system. That full listing will include toolboxes that are not licensed for NU use.
